Literacy is the core for all first grade classrooms. Reading and writing go hand and hand. During our reading block students are able to go to various literacy stations. One of my goals for this school year is to create a writing station that promotes a love for writing. This donation will allow my students to have a variety of writing materials, an electric pencil sharpener and a paper storage area for the writing center. The writing center allows students to write, create and practice at their individual level. In providing fun and colorful writing materials the students will be eager to work in the writing station.

About my class
