As a first-year teacher, these donated resources have made a meaningful difference in how my students learn and engage with content. One of our favorite projects so far was a gallery walk, where students worked in small groups to solve math problems posted on the anchor charts you donated. Students collaborated, discussed their thinking, and rotated around the room to view and learn from each other's work. The toys and snacks you provided were used as incentives, motivating students to stay focused and work together respectfully while problem-solving.\r\n\r\nWhen my students first saw the materials, they were absolutely thrilled. They were excited to use the new expo markers, mailbox system and eager to earn the incentives through teamwork and perseverance. The energy in the classroom was incredible—students were engaged, encouraging one another, and proud to share their ideas. These materials helped create a positive and interactive learning environment where students felt supported and excited to participate.\r\n\r\nBecause of your generosity, our next steps include continuing hands-on math activities and expanding our science lessons with collaborative projects and discussions. Your support has given my students opportunities to build confidence, strengthen critical thinking skills, and develop a love for learning. Thank you for giving my students such a meaningful peek into your kindness and belief in their success.","fullyFundedDate":1760725830801,"projectUrl":"project/launching-learning-with-a-first-year-tea/9413848/","projectTitle":"Launching Learning with a First-Year Teacher","teacherDisplayName":"Ms. Olga Hernandez","teacherPhotoUrl":"https://storage.donorschoose.net/dc_prod/images/teacher/profile/orig/tp10056381_orig.jpg?crop=1387,1387,x52,y72&width=272&height=272&fit=bounds&auto=webp&t=1750307032538","teacherClassroomUrl":"classroom/10056381"}],"pageName":"schoolpage_93733","usesDonorsChoose":true,"infoPageType":"school","demographicsInfo":{"numStudents":858,"numTeachers":46,"percentFrplEligible":69,"percentAsian":1,"percentBlack":7,"percentWhite":33,"percentIndigenous":0,"percentLatinx":52,"showFreeAndReducedPriceLunchInfo":true,"showDemographicsInfo":true,"sourceTooltipString":"the National Center for Education Statistics","gradesServed":"Pre-K - 5","studentTeacherRatio":"18.7:1","demographicsDataSource":"MDR School","equityFocus":true,"titleOne":true,"metroType":"SUBURBAN","ncesMetroType":"SUBURB_LARGE"},"inStateSupporters":87.0,"schoolId":93733,"financialInfo":null,"twitterShareText":"Learn more about Valley Ranch Elementary School on @DonorsChoose:","schoolName":"Valley Ranch Elementary School","canonicalPageUrl":"schools/texas/new-caney-independent-school-district/valley-ranch-elementary-school/93733"}
