Students can learn better when they feel comfortable and have choices for where they read and write. My classroom futon will be the central focus of my class library and a place where students can both loose themselves in a good book and they can meet for Book and Writing Clubs on the futon. The floor desks will offer another choice for students who are more successful reading and writing on the floor. These choices will meet the needs of the many different kinds of learners in my classroom. Book clubs may never be the same with so many fun choices!
