I am currently working on organizing our classroom library to be more student-friendly. My students need a leveled classroom library that will allow them to select books that are at or near their reading level. Throughout the year, students will be working towards their individualized reading goals and learning how to select "Just Right" books. With these supplies, students will have easier access to texts that are at their grade level. The clipboards will allow students to move about the classroom when working independently or in groups. Sitting in a desk all day can be tiring to many students. Allowing them the freedom of taking their work elsewhere in the classroom will build a positive classroom environment where students feel in control of their learning. The dry erase pockets will be utilized by students during literacy and math stations. The 5 drawer storage organizer will be used to house math stations. Students will be able to pull out the drawer and take it to their table/area to work.
