Technology teaches students independent thinking skills. There are many times that I have wanted my students to be able to do digital projects and research, but we are very limited to what we can do because many students do not have access to technology outside of what they have at school. There are many different things my students could do if we had Kindle Fire tablets available for students in the classroom. Having access to a Kindle Fire will allow my students to have the technology they need to be successful 21st century learners. It will provide the internet access they need to review for unit tests. For each topic taught I have created an interactive review game on Kahoot for my students to play. The interactive games make studying for upcoming unit tests fun and ensure that all students in the classroom are actively engaged. In addition to review games, a Kindle Fire will allow my students to participate in web quest projects and research projects on the Internet. By donating to this project, you will ensure that my students have open access to technology every day at school, giving my students an experience that they wouldn't have had before. My students will have the opportunity to become fluent in technology, and I will be able to design more engaging and rigorous lessons.
