My students spend a lot of the time on the floor during circle time and center time. Having such a large rug will help ensure they are comfortable and warm. To make learning fun I allow my students to pick where they want to sit (floor/desk). This rug will help them avoid sitting on the cold, germy floor. Having the magnetic letters will allow my students to extend their vocabulary and use the phonic skills they’ve learned to create new words and spell phonetically. Using phonics increases their ability to read and sound out words, which in turn helps with their comprehension.
