As a first year teacher, I want to ensure that my 2nd grade students have a library full of books that make them excited to read. I hope that they fall in love with reading and have the opportunity to enjoy different kinds of books that they may not have access to at home. I would like to give my students access to a variety of books, as well as books that are multicultural. I would love for my students to see themselves in our classroom library. I want my students to be represented in our classroom library and also read books that spark their old and some new interests!
