The basic classroom supplies will help these students learn. Many of the families in our school's zone cannot afford these basic supplies, and our district has also cut funding. Pencils, pens, paper, pencil pouches and other basic needs help the students focus on the lessons instead of worrying about what they might not have or be able to get. Having these supplies helps level the field for the students at our Title 1 school. Copy paper will be used for printing out lessons and homework assignments, and is something that is in limited supply in our district. Students should not suffer because of a lack of funding.
