I work for a Title I school where our entire school receives free breakfast and lunch. Our families are mostly from inner-city backgrounds and rely on our school for support. Providing a positive, bright learning environment is key to our students' success. The bright colored stackable stools will work beautifully to promote a flexible, colorful learning environment. I have asked for erasable whiteboards to allow me to see exactly what my students are doing, as well as provide an easy place for them to show and share their work. Since the whiteboards I have chosen are reusable, all of my students can reuse them every day. Pencil Sharpeners, oh pencil sharpeners have been a thorn in my side for a long time. They are constantly breaking and I have chosen two sharpeners that can be placed in the classroom for students to use. I have chosen this type because they can be charged with a USB. Since I have a computer lab, charging them will be very easy. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Having flexible groups, students will be able to solve problems and build their ideas in various areas around the classroom. Students will be able to simply focus on the academic material at hand, and not whether their materials are going to work or not.
