A classroom area rug is essential in an early childhood classroom. The carpet is where the majority of learning will take place in Kindergarten. There are individual squares where every child will have a place to call their own. This square will keep each child in their own personal space where they can keep their hands to themselves and stay focused on the learning. This carpet will add comfort for the children sitting on it throughout the day. Children learn best when they are comfortable and feel safe. I feel that this carpet will help aid in creating a safe and welcoming classroom environment for these students new to school.
