All of these requested picture books not only are engaging and exciting for students to read, but teach them very valuable life lessons. They will be used throughout my day for many different subjects in order to supplement my lessons to make them more engaging and meaningful for students. Whether it is about friendship, kindness, mathematics, literacy, or social skills, it gives my students a chance to become apart of another world and understand things that may never otherwise get the chance to do. Books give students empathy and understanding of a world other than their own. This project will allow me to teach my students about other people, places, event, and feelings that they need in order to become good citizens.
