I was fortunate enough to have the pleasure of teaching my students for 2 years. I was their 4th grade teacher, and I moved up to 5th grade with them. They are some of the most respectful, loving, thankful kids you could ever meet. You would never know that over 90% of our students live in poverty. They work hard everyday in class, even when the work is difficult. I built a bond with each one of them. They know I am tough, but I also have their back. on Last year, we had an incident where some students were teasing another student about his tennis shoes, and our classroom actually went viral. Our story had millions of views, and shares. We were also WBRZ News 2. Let's just say, there was no more teasing in Ms. Callahan's class.
