Dyslexia makes reading difficult, so reading can be a chore rather than a joy. Students with dyslexia are bright and think outside the box. Reading engaging books with great writing and illustrations can tap into the creative thinking that dyslexic people are known for and open up a new world of imagination for them. We read books together out loud in class to build fluency, increase vocabulary, and encourage their imaginations and love of reading. Thank you for helping these creative, dyslexic students!
