Working with a diverse group of students, many of which reside in poverty, is not what it seems. My students are AMAZING! They come from areas of low income and gang activity, however their ability to bond and connect with one another as they explore areas they've never seen before is impeccable. They are exciting, creative and genuinely desire to do good. My classroom goes far beyond ELA. We develop relationships and create goals that we can use today and throughout our future. I enjoy introducing them to things they never thought possible and being a positive influence on their lives. Please assist in helping these students continue their exploration!

About my class
