My project is targeted to help getting my classroom set up to ensure that my students have the best learning experience possible. Throughout this project, students will have the opportunity to be provided supplies that help build on learning organizational skills, behavioral management skills, and math skills. I am a first year teacher who is on a quest to help my students succeed to his or her fullest potential! My project focuses on organizational skills by implementing 3 drawer storage units. The students will be learning how to organize their materials and learn how to take care of their materials within our classroom. Also in my project, students will learn behavioral managing by using a sit spots. Sit spots will allow students to monitor their behavior as well as learning about personal space while engaging in whole group lessons. My project also includes supplies and decorations, such as a pencil sharpener, rug, and crayons that will help my classroom feel less like a classroom and more like a home. A safe and inviting environment! With the use of these supplies to help set up my classroom, students will be able to strive for greatness throughout the school year. I am so excited to start this journey as a 1st grade teacher!
