Last summer, our beautiful school garden died because it depended entirely on manual watering. With the addition of automatic irrigation, we will be able to reliably hydrate our plants and maintain soil health. We need Drip Irrigation Kits, tubing, fertilizer and a seed starter mix. Once irrigation is installed, students will be able to use, participate in, and learn from our garden throughout every season! We will be able to propagate and grow both cool and warm season plants in this sustainable garden environment. Our school garden will provide multifarious opportunities for nutrition education, environmental awareness, STEM learning, and interdisciplinary studies in art, writing, and research. Garden education can be applied to standards at every grade level. All children at our school will benefit from this gift.
