The books donated to my classroom will help my students have access to books both in the classroom and at home. My students will be able to take these books home to read with a parent or sibling. Whether they are reading a bed time story to their siblings or their parents are reading the story to them, my students will have a print rich environment both at school and at home. The love that children have for reading is often lost but providing them with many enchanting and memorable adventures, this spark will hopefully last a lifetime. These books will be used for silent reading to help improve fluency and comprehension. I will also use these books to do read-alouds with my class. The books can be used to reinforce topics being taught in class such as main idea and details, author's purpose, and story retell.
