This particular carpet will be extremely helpful in our classroom. Each square will provide a space for each student to sit comfortably during whole group lessons and classroom meetings. We will use our carpet each morning to have a meeting about what to expect during our day, including schedule changes and reviewing our morning work. We will hold our weekly social-emotional circles on our carpet where students will meditate, learn new coping skills and discuss how to be a great friend. We will begin our Fundations lessons and number talks here and it will be heavily used during our Language Arts and Math stations throughout the day.
