In two raised garden boxes, students will plant and care for the succulent variety we're requesting for our Kindness Garden. Students will have hands on experience and invest themselves in the success of the garden. The intent is to build community and collaboration to last through the school year and beyond. Kindness is a quality that needs to be taught and practiced. An exercise in creativity and character, it is our intent to share our project with students outside of our class. Students will use acrylic paints, paint brushes, and paint pens to apply a message or image of what it means to be kind on their smooth rock. An acrylic sealing finish will be applied to protect the rock messages before they are "planted" in the succulent garden.
