Research supports small group instruction as essential for differentiated learners by giving teachers the opportunity to meet students where they are in their learning. A table with seating for 4-5 students allows me to work directly with students at their level to assess learning and provide challenges and support where necessary. By donating to this project, you will be providing a comfortable space for students to receive personalized instruction in reading and math. Students to come to second grade at various reading levels. Some students are ready for chapter books, while others are just mastering sight words. In small group instruction, I can still teach the overarching topics that students to need to master, such as main idea and details, while using texts appropriate for each students reading level.
