My students need a comfortable classroom rug to enhance their learning! Research has shown that sitting still at a desk for extensive periods of time can cause children to become frustrated, anxious, and inattentive. Therefore, it is crucial to provide students with opportunities to move around and take “brain breaks” if needed. A rug would be the perfect place for this! This would also be where we spend time reading books and sharing stories each day as a class. Finally, a classroom rug is utilized throughout the day for both reading and math centers. Two or three different centers can be set up on the rug and students are able to spread out and complete each activity successfully. This donation would be the perfect finishing touch to my classroom! Magical moments happen on the rug, and I am eager to start creating them with my students in the fall!
