Your kind donation will help our classroom library grow. It will provide my students with a variety of new books that they can read during our silent reading time and that they can borrow and take home to read. Most of my students come from low-income households and do not have access to many, if any books. These books will give them an opportunity to read every night and encourage their love of reading. Reading plays an essential role in our classroom. Everyday we do a read aloud together after lunch. My students look forward to this, as much as I do. I love introducing my students to new books and seeing their excitement when they find a book that they truly love. My students also ready every night as part of their homework. Reading is so important and essential for their future. I feel a great responsibility in helping my students develop a love of reading. Your books will help me do this by providing them with new books that will spark their interest and help them develop into fluent readers.
