My students often face a variety of obstacles in their lives; like all students, they disserve the opportunity to feel conferrable and safe in my classroom. Flexible seating can foster critical thinking, promote a positive learning environment and develop students’ communication skills. At my school we set our expectations high by using the most rigorous curriculum available and constantly remind our students that it is not only enough to graduate from high school but we expect them to graduate from college as well. As a learning community, we constantly remind our students that success in education is critical, and that all our students are college material.
