Sadly, our writing center needs some TLC. There's some paper, pencils, clipboards and very old whiteboards that barley erase. With the materials I have requested, red baseline paper, colored pencils, paper trays, pencil grips, crayon caddie, letter stamps, and ink pads will help get us organized. My students will be able to label, make and break words apart, practice writing in a variety of ways, and learn how to write the words they are learning to read! Writing is such an important part of our children's education. Literacy and writing go hand in hand and are equally important. The ability to be able to read and write really impacts a students academic success. My students would benefit immensely by having a variety of materials in their writing center. I know with a few additional materials in our writing center, all of the children will be eager to do their best when it comes to writing.
