Flexible seating will allow for student voice and choice throughout their day and will make a difference in our students learning. We plan to use the flexible cushions, Kore Patented WOBBLE Chairs and regular stools to increase students learning and choice throughout their entire day. The students will be able to move around the room and work in an area that is most comfortable and will allow them to be successful. Flexible Seating has been researched proven to increase a student's academics, behavior, and health! Our school is a STEAM school with a focus on implementation through project-based learning. Flexible seating will allow students to collaborate with one another, build projects, learn new things and release built up energy. We don’t have money in our budget to give students this 21 Century seating option that will allow them to be successful. But with your help, we can allow students to have this choice. Students will be learning responsibility for each item and equipment and how to take care of it. They will learn how to make choices that are will lead to their success. This classroom will become their classroom in which is student-lead with teacher guided rather than teacher directed.
