BrainPOP! is a great interactive, technological tool that will allow my students to be drawn in for more understanding in many subjects during whole group instruction. This program also allows the students to explore and learn on their own within topics. Using fun videos, games and quizzes that align to the state standards BrainPOP! makes learning fun. Creating the confidence in my 4th graders to be life-long learners on their own will help them be successful in the future. For my students who continually struggle with attention difficulties, the interactive feature of the program allows them to fully immerse themselves in the learning. My English Language Learners will additionally benefit through the self-guided activities on a variety of topics, giving them many opportunities to learn and utilize academic language. The depth of knowledge the students are able to access in BrainPOP will keep every student engaged and learning at his/her instructional level. I have used the free portion of BrainPOP and have seen for myself the increased engagement, learning and fun that takes place for my students. Your help will give my students an additional participatory tool to becoming independent, twenty-first century learners. My hope is that through this generous gift we can help the world’s future leaders learn to use technology successfully to improve the world in numerous ways.
