This project is for a classroom carpet. A large, comfortable classroom rug will allow for group gatherings, partner work and alternate work space. I value a strong classroom community with shared ownership, respect and responsibilities. Currently, the rug in my classroom is six years old, beginning to unravel and faded to the point where the colors all look the same. This project will allow me to create the classroom community necessary for my students. Having this large carpet will provide a safe space for gross motor movement and kinesthetic learners. A new carpet that fits all my students will allow for a variety of hands-on learning experiences for years to come.
