We are starting a new journalism class this year which will include creating a school newspaper and work on creating the yearbook. We need a Nikon DSLR camera for yearbook and a school newspaper. This camera will be used to get the high quality pictures we need and teach the students photography skills. I want the students to have ownership in their memories for the year as they create the yearbook. This is a first for our school, since I have been doing the yearbook work myself the past two years with my own equipment. It is a new elective to give these students skills they would not normally have until high school or college.
