After moving into the regular classroom last year after teaching English as a Second Language for several years before, I made things work by using whatever was left in the classroom I had moved into. Every child deserves the absolute best start to their school year but it's even more important for kindergarteners: this is their very first taste at what school is really like! The book bins in our room desperately needed replacing and I didn't have a good place for students to store their work. Also, I had purchased a smaller rug for our room but we never all could fit on it! This year I want to start off the school year with the best materials for my students. With these materials students will have the perfect place to store their books and reading journals, will have their own place to house all the amazing work they'll be doing this year, and everyone will have a place to sit on the carpet! Thank you so much for your support of this project. I can't wait to see the look on my student's faces when they see what's waiting for them when they walk into school for the first time!
