My classroom library is a place my students enjoy reading and opening their minds to new and exciting adventures. We sit on the carpet and I read to them, and they also love to read independently. All of the books in the wish list have been chosen with my students’ needs and interests in mind. These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create, will allow them to read independently, build their reading stamina and further their reading comprehension skills. Every book that is placed in my library is treated and handled with love and care. With these new books, my students will be able to choose from a variety of books in English and Spanish that will allow them to read independently at their own grade level while improving their vocabulary and expanding their minds, interest and knowledge. These books will continue to help improve their reading level and increase their knowledge. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will help them expand.
