I am requesting a variety of Sit Spots. Sit Spots are small colorful, Velcro-type shapes that I can place on the carpet around the room. They adhere to the carpet and don't come up without some effort and they don't damage the carpet. I can use the Sit Spots to help with classroom routines, such as Inside/Outside Circle, or other cooperative learning routines that get students up and moving. Sits Spots will allow me to place students on certain circles or stars so that they talk to a variety of people while moving around the room. I can also use Sit Spots to place certain students away from others and that "spot" can become that particular student's spot. There's a plethora of possibilities. Sit Spots will help me maintain order and organization while providing multiple opportunities for student engagement and learning across content areas. My students love moving around the room. Sits Spots will help give me an organization for that movement.
