All students in Statistics and A.P. Statistics are required to make a poster that visualizes their data. The students have picked their own topics based upon something of interest. They are in the process of collecting data and will be using the classroom Chromebooks to input data and to use appropriate graphs to display data. The students will then print the graphs and written information about the data. The graphs and written information will then be placed on poster board for a visual representation of the data. The posters will be displayed on various walls in the school for other students to see. The students will benefit from making posters by displaying data in a way other than a traditional research paper, and the students may choose to enter the posters in a statistics scholarship competition. The students are learning a variety of skills through completing the project, and they are interested in researching the topics since they chose their own topics.
