The new area rug will give each of my students the space they need in order to stay engaged and be able to participate fully in whole group reading time. Often my students have to sit very close to one another due to limited space or we have to pull over small rugs so we can all be together. I would like to be able to have all of the kids in one area together. Students regularly participate in partner talks or turn and talk groups. This will allow my students to be more comfortable during our whole group reading.
