Welcome to my classroom page! We are hard at work in preparation of the 2010-2011 school year. I'm looking forward to creating a challenging yet fun learning environment where my 23 Kindergartners can question, explore and interact with a variety of concepts in a safe space. We spend the majority of our day in small groups and centers so that students can maximize their independent practice of key skills and ideas, but we need some more materials in order to effectively facilitate our work! At the beginning of the year, most of of my students are entering Kindergarten at an emergent reading level. This is why most of the materials I've requested are books and reading materials, so they can reach their reading goals while gaining foundational understandings around character, health, and community.
