We need a new carpet so that they can enjoy listening to stories and participating in whole group activities. This carpet will also help my students with learning shapes and colors. I teach Kindergarten and it is very important that my students know their colors and shapes. I chose this carpet because it will also serve as a visual aid in my classroom to help my students. I always encourage my students to look around the room for clues to help them and this material will serve that purpose. This carpet will also get my students excited about coming to the carpet and listening to stories and participating in whole group activities. The carpet would also be used for my students to use for partner reading as well.
