Our current ceramic program is limited to one class of 7/8th graders in the spring because we are reliant on ground firing. This kiln will make the ceramic program a year round possibility for everyone from kinder to 8th grade. Clay work has incredible therapeutic qualities for elementary artists. In middle school, the opportunity to make permanent work is profoundly impactful. I want to give ALL my students the chance to engage in a year round ceramic program so they can become better artists and more engaged students. We are looking forward to full time production and can't wait to see where our imaginations take us in the 3rd dimension!

About my class
