Funding these materials will help me add a splash of life into my life skills classroom and will help keep my students engaged. This year is the first that our school has had this program and learning materials are slim. Through this project, I am hopeful that my students will be able to have access to a plethora of activities, games, and manipulatives that will help them learn and will keep them excited to do so. My students are so eager to see my every day and I am remaining eager that I will be able to brighten up their world with these supplies. With these supplies, my students will be able to learn through play and engage in cooperative learning, which is a first for most of my students due to COVID-19. and the related school closures. Of my nine students, six of them are in kindergarten and in their first year of school. This means that I have the opportunity to shape their perspective towards school and to make it a place where my students want to come and a place where they're happy. As much as I would like to, I can't accomplish this task alone with a single salary. By providing my students with these activities and resources, you will be adding a splash of life to our program and will be helping to keep my students engaged in learning, which is the ultimate goal of education. This project will help to meet the following standards: Reading, Kindergarten- RL.K.2, RF.K.1d Math, Kindergarten- K.CC.A.3, K.CC.B.4, K.OA.A.5 1st Grade, Math: 1.OA.C.5, 1.MD.B.3, 1.G.A.1 2nd Grade, Math: 2.NB.T.B.5, 2.MD.C.7, 2.G.A.1
