Fidget bands are thick rubber bands that attach to the legs of student desks in the classroom. They are adjustable to fit a variety of desk sizes and durable for long lasting use. Fifth graders are expected to sit for extended periods of time, concentrating on their work in the classroom. This is often a challenge for this age group. Fidget bands will help my students be able to wiggle and move without disturbing or distracting other students. Kids can bounce their legs and feet, or swing their feet back and forth, while still focusing on their work. Students will be able to focus on the teacher, testing, and working with each other while quietly spending their pent up energy. Fidget bands will prevent students from standing up and/or walking around during inappropriate times which is distracting for the rest of the class.
