We need wobble chairs, classroom rug, bar height stools, and pillows for the floor. Flexible seating is where traditional classroom seating is removed and replaced with different chairs that allows students to choose where they sit. It is nearly impossible for young learners to sit still and stay engaged for long periods of time. By providing flexible seating in my classroom, it allows my students to make a seating choice that best fits their needs and learning style. Not only does it provide a sense of ownership, it also allows them to WIGGLE and WOBBLE as they learn! The products I have selected will help my students by giving them other seating options to maximize their learning. The wobble chairs will allow them to wiggle and wobble at a table and during guided reading intervention. The bar stools will be placed at a taller table and allow them to dangle their feet if they choose. The pillows will give them a comfortable spot to sit on the floor throughout the classroom. And lastly the classroom rug will give the students a designated spot to sit as we gather together for learning throughout the day.
