For many years art has been taught from a cart. Due to program changes, we are so excited to bring art back into its own classroom. However, this means starting fresh. The room we have been given needs a bit of love. Our students need to be surrounded by beauty and inspired to be creative and some materials to help them do so. Hanging things like the colorful brick wall backdrops and curtain lights will help the space come alive and in turn inspire students artmaking! Our students deserve to have experiences in art outside of pencil and paper and the Model Magic will allow them to create some 3D art. Students are often asked to sit on the floor near the board as I have demonstrations, it would be wonderful for them to be comfortable and the distressed area rug would provide some comfort instead of the old tile floor.
