My students are learning how the statistics I teach in class applies to the world around them. They will be learning how every day businesses collect data, analyze it and use it to make decisions to further their success. The students will also have a chance to experience that process in a T-shirt business we start together throughout the semester. They will research current problems in the community, design a T-shirt, vote on the design they like the most, create the T-shirt’s, market them and use the data to drive each decision they make. I am asking for a screen printing kit, screens, and multiple color inks for the students to use as they create their own tshirts! I really hope that the students take pride in their education when it is presented in this way.
