I have purchased most of the items needed for flexible seating, so my main focus is this classroom rug, and a couple other seating options. The classroom carpet will be used for our morning meeting, large group and small group instruction. Morning meetings set the tone for the rest of the day. Most of our large group instruction happens on the classroom rug. Large group instruction is where we all engage and learn as a whole so it is important that I have a place where all students can sit and learn together. The wobble chairs and balance balls will give my students another choice of where their best learning can take place. Research shows that flexible seating promotes students, choice, physical health, comfort, community, collaboration, communication and fun.
