Technology captures students attention and keeps them engaged. I am determined to bridge the gap between Algebra and the outside world of technology. Currently I teach using four white boards, response boards, markers, and erasers. The world is evolving through technology and we are stuck in the medieval times. I love hands on learning, but it is not always about what I love. I need to reach my students in all ways possible. Many kids learn better doing what they love. Mathematics videos and games are fun and engaging ways to keep the students minds satisfied while still understanding the concepts of the TEKS being taught. Having these electronics will enable us to do small group assignments on the computer. There are many apps that we could be using to help the students learn their lessons. I would love to be able to use small groups with the iPads for interactive learning.
