Daily read alouds, shared or independent reading experiences will provide students with opportunities to examine positive character traits so that they can work to become a better character themselves! During daily discussions, students will use the characters from their reading experiences to build vocabulary and compare and contrast fictional and real life people. This will allow students to be able to closely examine and reflect deeper as they continue their reading experiences hopefully well into an old age. These new and engaging books will be springboards for teaching reading skills as well as character education lessons teaching persistence, determination, compassion and so much more!

About my class
