I am a Speech and Language Pathologist serving a variety of students ranging from Pre-K to 8th Grade who have been identified through the IEP process to have significant speech and/or language impairments. They are unique individuals with a wide variety of needs. Students may have limited vocabulary, with little to no use of language, difficulty understanding language or may present with severe speech sound production delays that impact their ability to be readily understood. My students learn and acquire communication skills in a variety of settings throughout the school environment. One of those settings includes the speech and language therapy room which provides for individualized or small group instruction in a distraction free environment. A caseload of approximately 40 students use this space throughout the week.
