Allowing our students to have alternative outlets for behaviors that have traditionally caused disruptions will enable us to spend more time on instruction and less on redirection. We want to embrace our students' energy rather than stifling it. We feel that the materials we have requested will create an environment conducive to self-expression and self-control. The games, puzzles, and sensory items will spark their creativity, as well as hone their ability to concentrate on the task at hand. The option of flexible seating allows for comfort and relaxation, as well as free range of motion. We feel that these items will enhance our classroom in a new and exciting way, and our kids will look forward to coming every day!
