We are asking for four balance ball chairs and four wobble stools that will provide comfortable seating options in our classroom. Brain research indicates that allowing productive movement increases blood flow to the brain and enhances the learning process. Traditional classroom chairs are rigid and uncomfortable for some students. The balance ball chairs and wobble stools will provide my students with options to increase engagement and productivity. Many of my students have difficulty maintaining focus and attention. Providing flexible seating options would make all the difference! This is just the beginning of our journey toward becoming a flexible classroom! The environment I would like to create for my students will encourage collaboration, increase motivation, and allow for comfort and movement.
