We are working to create a more inclusive classroom environment to meet the needs of our First Graders and their friends in our Autism Center Program! We are hoping to purchase 4 Wobble Chairs/Stools to provide flexible seating options for our kids. Flexible seating is becoming more and more prevalent in office spaces today for adults. Many employers offer their staff choices in desks and seating and they are seeing an increase in work productivity and happiness. Don't First Graders deserve the same? Flexible seating provides students with choice, sensory input, comfort, a sense of community, and contributes to better physical health and academic engagement. We look forward to trying out Wobble Chairs next year as we rethink the look and feel of our classroom!
