Chemistry is a rigorous course that requires the mastery of math to explain science. To be successful in a high school chemistry course, a calculator is required and will be used in every unit of the course either to solve math problems or participate in lab simulations. Students at my school struggle with calculator access, so I would like a class set of calculators so that students can experience success in science every day. STEM is the future and our school deserves to be on the cutting edge. In order to be competitive, our school must be tech literate and have the same access to materials as their peers.
