As a first year band teacher starting a program from scratch with no established budget, I need everything! One thing that I feel would be really helpful is to purchase Debut clarinet mouthpieces for all my beginners. Debut mouthpieces are made to be free blowing and help beginners get a good tone from the start. The off brand clarinet mouthpieces create difficult back pressure and are also inconsistent. This causes young players to develop bad habits to overcome these issues. At $33 each, the Debut clarinet mouthpieces are a fantastic investment to get young beginners started on the right track.
